Movie Review Summary
It’s hard to get excited about this one. It has a few laughs to it yes, but it’s been poorly conceived and as a result it leaves a funny taste in the mouth. It’s a shame watching some really talented people being poorly used. If they stripped the film back and made it more about Rosie’s and Izzie’s relationship this probably could have been a heart-touching film and a success. As it stands, I wouldn’t want to watch it again, it goes nowhere. I’m not even sure there’s continuity in the characters – does Adam play a teacher in the TV show and then by the end of it try and seduce a pupil as another character?? Just odd! If you want a rom-com there’s going to be far better ones out there. Don’t be pulled in by the talent on show, you’ll be disappointed.
