Movie Synopsis

When Katniss’s younger sister is selected to represent District 12 in The Hunger Games and win food for their community, she volunteers to take her sister’s place in a game where there can only be one survivor.

Movie Review Summary

If you’ve read the book and liked that then the film is not likely to disappoint. I’m looking forward to the sequels to see where they take the story next, because this first film sets up a bigger battle between the Districts and the totalitarian, inhumane Capitol. Some parents may not be overly enthusiastic about the bloody nature of the film, but more mature kids should be fine with it. Worth checking out, if not at least to see what everybody else is talking about. Just don’t expect to get blown away.
